19 July 2005 - Kohler Mira Limited today announced the acquisition of Daryl Industries Limited, one of the UK's leading shower enclosure manufacturers.
The acquisition will further strengthen Kohler Mira's position in the UK bathroom sector and give the combined group a strong portfolio of products across bathrooms, showers and enclosures.
Daryl currently operates across three sites in the Liverpool area. The business employs over 200 in the manufacture and sale of shower enclosures, bath screens and shower trays.
Daryl has seen considerable growth in recent years driven by innovative new products. Daryl is a business that fully recognises the importance of a complete offer to the trade including training, service support, display support and a strong 'made to measure' offer, which we intend to support and develop. Daryl's position in the retail trade is second to none. It is highly regarded in the new build sector, reflecting the business' commitment to its customer relationships.
The Daryl business will continue to be run as a separate trading entity under Kohler Daryl, and its current management, led by managing director William Hogg, will remain unchanged. The Daryl brand, which has strong recognition qualities and customer loyalty within the bathroom retail sector will become part of the broader Kohler Mira offering.
